Karnataka State in India has a distinct art and culture informed by a long history of diverse linguistic and religious ethnicity.
For the past 4 years, our Studio - Prayog, has encouraged more than 3000+ performing artists through 750+ shows and more than 45000 art patrons . Giving these artists a platform to showcase various art forms and earn their livelihood.
But for the past 1 year due to the Pandemic , Prayog like many other theatres , is facing the challenge of bringing artists closer to the audience.Due to which performing artists of various art forms such as Music,Dance, theatre Play, Yakshagana,Hari katha etc are going through a difficult time especially the regional artists and technicians who have embraced art as a full-time profession
Though many kind hearted citizens and art patrons of the country have helped artists with free food and medicine.There are many of regional artists , struggling alone and in silence.
It is for these artists and for anyone who is looking for a platform to showcase their passion for art, We have created a new platform that can take them beyond the physical and regional boundaries especially now but also for years to come .
Our digital platform OK - Only Kannada , will include regional dilects such as Tulu, Konkani, Kodava, Byari .
This is our attempt to help the regional artists through a platform that can reach millions accross the globe.
